Tina Caplan Weiss
Headmaster

Tina Caplan Weiss began the Southern California Piano Conservatory in 1968 when she was just a young teen and is still the Headmaster today. She is also the President of the SCPC Foundation - a 501 (c) (3) non-profit Foundation she founded in 2005, that is committed to the value of music in the overall educational development of children and adults, and is dedicated to creating an environment that nurtures, encourages, and develops the love of music in our community.

Kristine Sillona
Assistant Headmaster, Vocal Program Director

Kristine Jhing Sillona is an international artist, singer, producer, and a Gold and Platinum Record Award winning songwriter that goes by the moniker Ms. Jhing. She is the Assistant Headmaster of the Southern California Piano Conservatory and heads the Vocal Department; and helped create the vision for the SCPC Foundation, serving as its Creative Director. She is also the Designer and Webmaster of scpcfoundation.org and scpcsite.com, and directs the SCPC Foundation Vocal Workshops.

Carmel Abramov
Teacher of Piano

My name is Carmel Abramov, and I am 15 years old. I am a sophomore at Calabasas High School. I have taken piano lessons since I was 7 years old. I love being able to teach other children piano, and share my passion for music with them. When I am not teaching or studying for school, I am spending time with friends. I love going to the beach and listening to music.

Gabi Abramov
Teacher of Piano

Hi, I’m Gabi Abramov. I've been playing piano for ten years. I'm a Junior at de Toledo High School, and I love to read and write. When I'm not doing these things, I like to spend time with friends. I look forward to many more years of teaching piano and helping my students love music as much as I do.

Devin Burgess
Teacher of Piano

My name is Devin Burgess and the piano encompasses so much of my life. If you drop in at the Burgess house in Westlake Village, chances are my husband, Christian, my 2 daughters, Zoe and Clara, or I will be tickling the ivories. I am honored to share the joy of the piano with other families and I am so proud of all my students.

Maria Cantu
Teacher of Piano

Maria Cantu currently attends Los Angeles Pierce College. She has been studying piano for nine years and teaching for six. Music is her obsession; she loves spending her free time on the internet discovering new bands to listen to. In addition to teaching, Maria loves going to music festivals, traveling, and reading. Teaching has inspired Maria to pursue a degree in music in college.

Noah Cotler
Teacher of Piano, Bass/Guitar, & AP Music Theory

Noah Cotler began studying piano, theory, composition, music history and jazz at the Southern California Piano Conservatory when he was in the third grade. Noah’s dream has always been to teach, play, and compose music. When Noah was thirteen years old he conducted the Hale Middle School Orchestra in a piece he composed. Noah is a graduate with High Distinction from Indiana University. He has played in Carnegie Hall twice and been a finalist in major symphony orchestra auditions. Recently, Noah received a Master’s degree from Yale University, where he studied with a full scholarship.

Micaella Landers
Teacher of Piano

Micaella Landers is a professional musician and performer based in the greater Los Angeles area. She currently studies Vocals at The Los Angeles College of Music and intends to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance. Aside from voice, Micaella plays multiple instruments, has studied and worked professionally as a dancer for eight years, and has a minor in Marine Biology. Though she has performed alongside the conservatory for a few years now, she is ecstatic to finally be teaching piano at the Southern California Piano Conservatory.

Hannah Lewis
Teacher of Piano

Hannah Lewis is 18 years old and has been studying piano since age 5. She studied music theory with Tina and took the AP Music Theory test. She is currently a freshman at CSUN, studying music. She started teaching this past year and is so proud of all the progress her students make every single week!

Erin Pool
Teacher of Piano

Hello, I’m Erin Pool and am currently in the 11th grade at Calabasas High School. This is my tenth year studying piano in the Conservatory: I have studied under Lindsey Shaffer, Noah Cotler, and Hailey Roberts. I also recently passed the AP music theory course the Foundation offered. I am excited to be teaching and sharing my love of music with my wonderful students.

Julianne Sillona-de Leon
Teacher of Piano

Julianne Sillona is a professional singer, songwriter, and musician who has performed around the world. She has been taking music under the conservatory for 10+ years and will be going on to her 3rd year teaching piano. Julianne has also co-directed and accompanied various vocal workshops and received scholarships for Musicianship and Volunteerism. She is currently a freshman in college and is working towards a Bachelor's Degree in music.

Maya Schwartz
Teacher of Piano

My name is Maya Schwartz. I am fifteen years old and I am a freshman at deToledo High School. I have been playing piano for six years. This is my second year teaching piano, and I am very excited to be a part of the Conservatory. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball and volunteering at SOVA.

Carlos Bueno
Teacher of Guitar

Carlos Bueno is a professional musician and music producer based out of LA and San Diego. Carlos has scored commercials, produced the soundtrack for a feature film, toured and played with multiple artists, and produced countless artists from all over the world. He also thoroughly enjoys teaching guitar, and has been doing so for a number of years. Carlos is currently studying Music Production at Los Angeles College of Music and will receive a bachelor's degree next year.
